Minus 275 and counting

4:00 am start is really not that bad in Summer...winter...well thats another story to talk about in a few months. The course for the week will be "Bay Run" in Rozelle....

Muscle 39.2%


I will try to change locations so I run different courses...off course anyone out there willing to run with me...I would be happy to travel to join you on your local run...or Bike ride, swim, or even if you need a sparring partner...send me the details and I am sure to be there...

Also, seeking sponsors...happy to have people sponsor me 2-5 cents per km for every km I run in training....you would be surprised what this will add up to...and wait every donation greater than $2 is tax deductible....and for those working at friendly corporations and are willing to match it...that would be great too.

Alternatively, how about $1 per km for every official race I do? It will only happen with your support people so...let me know...

Assistance with fundraising activities including suggestions are also much appreciated...
So far plans will include
1) Trivia night in April
2) An apple Raffle...(iPad, iPhone 4.0, and a Mac book)
3) Hosting Dinner parties for you and your friends with me doing the cooking and you the tasting and drinking....oh and the paying ;-)

Minus 276 and Counting

Well, it has been actually two weeks since I made the radical decision to run in the New York Marathon.

Reason for delaying in the post...ok you will think this is silly but here goes...

1) I wasn't ready to start training
2) The devastating floods in QLD were utterly destructive that I was too embarrassed to distract people from giving up donations to another cause
3) I was trying to sort out my fund raising activities.

Ok, perhaps they are poor excuses to use but all true...

So the task is in 270 odd days I, Hany Yacoub must be
1) have raised $15,000 for Kids Helpline (perhaps a little earlier)
2) qualify to run a 42.2 kms marathon in New York City under the qualifying time of Less than 3 hours (180 mins)
3) sustain all the pain, and accept all the help offered to these two tasks above.


So training started this morning with a leisurely 8 kms run around the Bay in Rozelle...

Well here are some boring measurements
I will update these daily
Weight 67.4 kg
Body Fat 22.9 %
Fluid/ Water is 53.9%
Muscle is 38.4

Ideally I would like to get to less than 65 Kgs
Body fat to about 8%
water Content above 60
Muscle tone above 45

Well here is to training hard


In regards to the actual target that is beyond me at the moment is...$15000 for the Kids Helpline....

So why you ask? I'll tell you this now... I have know too many talented kids/teenagers/young adults who have needed help and couldn't find it.
They went to the bottle and the pills and ruined their youth and I hope that I never see that again. I will provide my little tale along the way but need your commitment to follow me for 277 posts...DEAL?
